Hybrid molly
Poecilia sphenops × Poecilia latipinna × Poecilia velifera
No photo yet
Almost all shop mollies — black, dalmatian, balloon, sailfin, gold — are hybrids between the common molly, the sailfin molly and the Yucatán sailfin molly. Fertile, they interbreed with each other and with the parents. They like hard water, a little salt and plenty of algae and vegetable food. The balloon form is a shortened-body selection that brings swimming and health problems.
