Thick lipped gourami

The thick-lipped gourami comes from southern Myanmar. Peaceful, it is one of the calmest gouramis for a community tank. The more colourful male builds a bubble nest and guards the eggs. There is a bred golden variety, and it has been crossed with other gouramis to produce hybrids.
