No photo yet
The spotted archerfish lives from South Asia to northern Australia and New Guinea, mainly in brackish mangroves and estuaries, but also in freshwater rivers. It spits jets of water up to about 1.5 metres to knock insects off leaves. Omnivorous, it eats insects, small fish and plants. In the wet season the female releases tens of thousands of eggs.
