A goby cichlid endemic to northern Lake Tanganyika that lives among the pebbles of the surf zone at the lake's edge. The pair mouthbroods the eggs. It is the only member of its genus. It reaches 7 centimetres. Its name comes from IRSAC, a Central African research institute.
