The honey blue-eye is endemic to southeastern Queensland (Australia), from dark, acidic, tannin-stained ponds and streams in coastal sandy heathland ('wallum'). Honey-coloured with blue eyes. A close relative of Pseudomugil signifer. Endangered. It reaches about 3 centimetres.
