Norman's lampeye comes from West and Central Africa (Senegal to Lake Chad), from streams, small rivers and swamps. The upper part of its eye shines neon blue. It schools and is not an annual killifish; it is easy to keep. The eggs are attached to plants. It reaches about 4 centimetres.
