Golden panchax

The golden panchax is the only freshwater fish endemic to the Seychelles, from the granitic islands, from fresh or brackish streams. It eats worms, crustaceans, insects and small fish. It is not an annual killifish. When breeding, the male's scales stand up. It lays its eggs among plants. It was taken to Zanzibar to fight mosquitoes. It reaches 10 centimetres.
