The longnose hawkfish is a marine fish, the only member of its genus, from the Indo-Pacific and eastern Pacific. It lives on steep, current-swept reef slopes inside large gorgonians and black corals, between 10 and 100 metres. White with a grid of red lines and a long snout. It eats small crustaceans. It reaches 13 centimetres.
