Nothobranchius rachovii
No photo yet
An annual killifish from Mozambique, from the floodplains of the lower Zambezi and Pungwe rivers. It lives in pools and flooded depressions that dry out completely every year: the adults die, and the eggs buried in the mud survive until the rains return. The male is far more colourful than the female. It is short-lived.
