Lemon Cichlid

The lemon cichlid, endemic to Lake Tanganyika, lives in cracks and crevices of rocky areas and eats invertebrates from the rock biofilm. Its colour ranges from bright yellow to brown. It spawns hidden in caves. It reaches 10 centimetres. Its name honours the Belgian entomologist Narcisse Leleup.
