A loach from the Malay Peninsula and Thailand (Mae Klong and Chao Phraya basins), from forest streams and shallow rivers with mud or sand bottoms. It eats insect larvae and other invertebrates. The female is slightly larger. Its name honours the Thai illustrator Luang Masya Chitrakarn.
