Boeseman's rainbowfish

Boeseman's rainbowfish is endemic to the Ajamaru Lakes on the Bird's Head Peninsula, West Papua (Indonesia), with hard, alkaline water. Its front half is bluish and its rear half orange-red. It is endangered, and collection for the trade harmed wild populations; trade fish are farm-bred. It scatters its eggs among plants.
