An annual killifish endemic to the Atlantic Forest near Guanabara Bay, in Rio de Janeiro. It lives in temporary channels and pools within dense forest; the eggs stay in the bottom and wait out the dry season. Critically endangered by the destruction of the forest. It reaches about 3 centimetres.
