Harlequin sharkminnow

A sharkminnow from the middle and lower Congo River and the Ogooué River, from densely vegetated forest streams with tannin-stained water. It grazes biofilm from surfaces. The mottled pattern of juveniles fades with age. Adults are solitary and territorial. It has never been bred in aquaria.
