Convict julie

The convict julie, endemic to Lake Tanganyika, is the largest of the julies, up to 13 centimetres, yellowish with black stripes along the body. It is less tied to rocks than its relatives and ventures over sand. It forms stable pairs that spawn hidden in caves and crevices. There are several geographic forms.
