Betta splendens × imbellis
Betta splendens × Betta imbellis
No photo yet
A cross between the common betta and the peaceful betta (Betta imbellis), made by breeders to bring wild colours and shapes into domestic lines, or sold as a 'wild betta'. The young are fertile and males build bubble nests like the parents. Anyone keeping pure imbellis lines needs strict origin records, because the hybrid is hard to tell apart by looks.
