Adamson's grunter

A grunter endemic to Lake Kutubu, Papua New Guinea. The young stay in the shallows near shore; adults form large schools in deep water next to rocky cliffs. It is the main food of the Foi people. The male guards and fans the eggs. Critically endangered.
