Finescale tigerfish

The Indonesian tiger perch from Sumatra and Borneo lives in large lowland rivers and flooded forests among submerged branches. A predator, it eats crustaceans and small fish; adults are solitary and aggressive to their own kind, while juveniles form groups. It spawns in April and May with no parental care. Mekong records were of the Siamese tiger perch.
