Cynotilapia axelrodi

A mbuna endemic to Lake Malawi, known only from Nkhata Bay and Chirombo Point, from rocky areas. Unlike most mbuna, it feeds mainly on plankton. It is named after the publisher Herbert Axelrod. It reaches about 8 to 9 centimetres.
