A killifish endemic to Jamaica, from the Black River basin. It lives in shallow, crystal-clear, alkaline water with sandy bottoms, hiding among vegetation, and hunts dragonfly nymphs and other small animals. It is not annual. Endangered. It reaches 6 centimetres.
