Channa gachua

A dwarf snakehead with a huge range across southern Asia, from Iran to Indonesia — probably a complex of similar species. It lives anywhere from mountain streams to still canals and eats small fish, insects and crustaceans. The male mouthbroods the eggs and fry, and usually has longer fins and stronger colours.
