Malabar pufferfish

The dwarf pufferfish is endemic to Kerala and southern Karnataka, India, and is one of the world's smallest pufferfish, under 3.5 centimetres. It lives in slow, heavily vegetated waters and eats small animals. Adult males have a dark line along the belly. It is threatened by habitat loss and collection for the aquarium trade.
