Red-Tailed Silverside

The red-tailed silverside is endemic to the Mananjary basin in Madagascar, from calm, shaded stretches of streams between 300 and 650 metres. It was long confused with its relative Bedotia madagascariensis. It is named after the naturalist Martin Geay. Endangered.
