Bloodfin tetra
Aphyocharax anisitsi
The bloodfin tetra from the Río de la Plata basin (Paraguay, Paraná and Uruguay) is silvery with red fin bases. It swims in the upper water layers. Adult males have tiny hooks on the fins.
