Anableps microlepis
No photo yet
The finescale four-eyed fish lives on the Atlantic coast of South America, from Trinidad to southeastern Brazil, mainly in estuaries, mangroves and brackish water near river mouths. It moves in schools. Each eye is split in two, letting it see above and below the water at the same time. It is a livebearer and reaches about 30 centimetres.
