T-Bar Cichlid

The T-bar cichlid lives on the Pacific slope of Costa Rica, in rivers and streams with moderate to strong current and rocky, gravelly bottoms. It has a T-shaped mark on its flank. Omnivorous. It spawns in caves, and the roughly 200 fry feed on the parents' skin mucus. The male reaches about 12 centimetres.
