A Southeast Asian bottom dweller with a long, down-curved, horse-like snout, living in clear streams and rivers with sand or gravel bottoms. It spends much of its time buried in sand with only its eyes showing and feeds on small animals it finds in the sediment. It needs fine, soft sand.
